Baptism at Passion Creek

Baptism

An outward expression of an inward faith.

Baptism is the first public act of discipleship. It is an outward sign of an inward reality. At Passion Creek, Basics is a necessary part of baptism.

What is baptism?

From Death to Life

Baptism is a public profession of an inward faith. After surrendering to the lordship of Jesus, our next step of obedience is to get baptized. We believe God has ordained that we fully immerse ourselves in water to represent the reality of our death, burial, and resurrection with Jesus.

Furthermore, baptism is as much about the community of Jesus as it is about your confession of Jesus. It's a celebration of you becoming a part of the family of God and it is our delight to pray for you and love you as our own.

It's important to say that baptism does not save us. Rather, it is our response to the salvation God has already offered us through Jesus.

Apprenticeship to Jesus is personal but it is never private.

If you're ready to follow Jesus

  • Repent from your sin.Turn away from self-rule and begin trusting Jesus as Savior, Lord, and King.
  • Believe in Jesus.Place your faith, trust, and allegiance in Jesus and his Kingdom.
  • Get baptized.Celebrate with the rest of your church family here at Passion Creek by declaring your allegiance to Jesus through baptism.
Basics

Our prayer is that through Basics you encounter Jesus.

The goal isn't to get to the content, but rather to learn to walk with Jesus through the story of the Gospel and begin following a new way of life entirely.
